Ed Kopko – CEO

Over a career spanning 30+ years, Ed Kopko has been an integral part of hundreds of business and real estate transactions. His experience includes financing acquisitions, capital raising, debt refinancing, going public, buyouts, managing companies, and buying and selling businesses and real estate of all types. He brings the lessons learned to the entities and properties he and the Kopko LLC family of companies invest in and help manage.

In addition to his activities at Kopko LLC, Ed currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Mercury Z LLC and ULL Networks LLC. Previously Ed served as the chairman and CEO of Butler International and its subsidiaries, including Butler Aviation, for 23 years. In that time he keyed successful partnerships with companies like Sikorsky, Boeing, AT&T, Caterpillar, and Verizon can attest and provided a host of innovative technology and finance applications.

Ed has served on the boards of a variety of civic and industry organizations like National Technical Services Association, Ramapo College Presidents Council and Foundation, Northern New Jersey Boy Scouts of America Board Council and the Helen Heyes Theatre Company, where he served as Board President. He was also CEO and publisher of Chief Executive Magazine. A prolific writer on business matters, Ed’s writings have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Detroit Free Press.

Ed holds an M.A. in Economics from Columbia University.

 

Doug Rifenburg – General Manager

Doug brings years of construction and property management expertise to Kopko Properties. Prior to joining Kopko Properties, Doug worked in municipal and commercial construction as a project manager and client support. Doug’s previous roles included stints with Johnson Controls, Georgia-Pacific and Herring & Riverbank Construction. A graduate of The Cameron School of Business at University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Doug also served 8 years in the US Army working in Military Intelligence internationally.
